Junior Building Physicist

JOB SUMMARY:

  • As a Junior Building Physicist at IEF, you will be accountable to perform all thermal analysis required for completion of the custom cladding/curtainwall systems, including but not limited to: U-value, Condensation Risk Assessment, SHGC, and temperature analysis

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensure project solutions meet or exceed applicable codes and standards, project specifications, and internal performance criteria.

  • Develop and/or review modeling & testing procedures.

  • Participate in the review of alternate/new materials/coatings/systems for performance and compliance.

  • Organize and lead project meetings as required to provide guidance in the area of expertise.

  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts.

AUTHORITIES:

  • This is not a supervising or managerial position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

  • 0-3 years of Curtain Wall/Facade experience

  • NFRC Certification a plus

  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Bluebeam/Adobe

  • Familiar with AutoCAD, Rhino, Therm, Window, & MOLD a plus

  • Ability to learn in-house proprietary software

POSITION DETAILS:

  • Salary Range: $64,000 - $70,000
