A 13-story building brings new affordable housing to the Lower East Side.
Through a design-assist process, Island worked with Dattner Architects to realize a new building that offers high-quality apartments to low- and middle-income New Yorkers. Each facade panel follows the “sawtooth” plan layout for the structure, integrating a custom thin-brick rainscreen and fully operable punched windows into the unitized system.
The full scope of work was fabricated in our New York production campus prior to delivery to the Manhattan site for installation via tower crane.
