A dramatic form overlooking a major Manhattan destination.

Located adjacent to the popular High Line in New York City, High Line 23 features a stainless steel rainscreen and punched-window envelope system, paired with two curtainwall facades.

“Encased in a contoured glass-and-steel exterior, the building is as sleek and muscular as an Italian sports car,” wrote The New York Times.

The stainless-steel cladding elements were formed with specialized stamping machinery to create the final geometry, prior to shop-installation onto each megapanel at Island’s production facility.

In response to the project’s technical and logistical requirements, our team developed a customized anchor and wind-load bracing strategy between undulating facade panels in order to ensure successful delivery and installation on the tight urban site.
