A new tower brings affordable housing and amenities to the Lower East Side.

Situated at the foot of the Williamsburg Bridge in the Lower East Side, Essex Crossing Site 2 is 20-story residential tower atop a 6-story commercial podium. Island aided in the facade design with Handel Architects to produce a complete exterior wall system of 130,000 SF. Using Island’s V-2 fully outboard insulated panel system, the podium facade comprises 13-foot-tall 4MM FR ACM custom metallic bronze and metallic black panels in a chevron pattern.
